Peer Reviews and Types

1 min read

There are two types of Peer reviews which are popular in publication industry – single-blind peer review and double-blind peer review. Single- blind review is conventional mode of peer review where as double blind review is new approach developed.

Both these peer review methods are used by many English editing services in order to maintain the high standard of the manuscript quality.

To eliminate differences between review groups and eliminate bias conventional review method was then evolved into double blind review where both parties, author and the reviewer are unaware about other. On the other hand in Single-blind peer review only reviewer is aware about author's identity.
